To take or not to take...

Okay...so once again I've said that I would stick to this but really haven't. It's not that I don't want to or anything, I swear! It's just...that well...my mind has been cluttered with so many things these past few weeks, if not months, I simply put this off. The first semester of college had its difficulties, but was definitely a breeze when compared to this semester!!! I thought that because I had taken 6 classes last semester and had passed them all with pretty awesome grades if I may say so myself, that I would be able to do it again! Ahhh young, naive me!

I wasn't counting on the fact that this semester I would be taking 4 upper division classes, along with 2 other classes. I didn't realize I would be studying for 3 tests on the same day while writing a research paper due that same day. And of course I failed to come to the obvious conclusion that it was not very smart to take all those classes while trying to master a completely new and foreign language. So of course my grade and learning has suffered tremendously in Japanese! :( Well in reality it has suffered in most of my classes. I am not talking D's or F's here, possibly not even C's. Still, even though I am not picky about grades as say some of my close friends, it still bothers me that I can't give my full attention to any class and have to constantly settle for doing just enough to pass and then move on to the next assignment!!!

Along with this comes stress! Ask anyone who truly knows me and they can tell you I don't really like stress. I don't like drama or fights and definitely not stress. I mean don't get me wrong, I don't mean that I like to lock myself in my room and sleep all day. I LOVE being busy, but doing things I love and things I am passionate about. I just don't see a real reason why I should be stressed all the time about classes and homework and lack of sleep!!!

In order to change this I have decided to only take four classes in the upcoming fall semester. It will be a big change but I think it will be a great one. More time to get a job, study properly, and get back into the things I truly love to do! :D The thought of it makes me sooooo happy!

Well at the moment I am on no sleep (once more!) and am literally fighting with my eyelids so they won't shut, so I will go off for a sweet nap!!! ^^

Korean restaurant adventures!!!

Here is some of the pictures of my adventure and first time at a Korean Restaurant :D I loved the food and every minute of it!!! ^^

The tteokbokki! It was sooo spicy and delish!!!

Dak Bulgogi was also super delish! I just love the tingling on your lips that the spiciness leaves!

The Kimchi was the best I've had so far. Had seconds of it, which scored me a smile from the waitress. ^^

The tempura ice cream really isn't Korean, but it was deff the best I've ever had, I finished and was craving more!!!

I can't wait to return there soon!!! I am excited to try a couple new things on the menu. ^^

New Year Not's...

Hey! Sorry I haven't been writing forever! I have been sooo busy with school! Remember how I said earlier that 3 weeks vacation was too long? Well after this Spring semester I had, I definetly need my summer vacation!!! A lot has happened this semester, the majority good. I am a bit sad about the fact that in a little over a month I'll be packing my stuff and moving out of the dorms. It had felt like home since the first week here and the people around me have become part of my family. I am going to miss them so much but am looking foward to August when we spend yet another wonderful year together. :)

Okay, so I wanted to give a little update on how my new years resolutions are going. Won't be hard since most are epic failing at the moment! ^^ Hopefully by the end of 2010 they will all be accomplished!

1. Stop drinking soda all-together- This only lasted about a month! I came back to school and the soda machines just tempted me! But I WILL stop drinking soda!

2. Stop eating junk food/fast food- I realized how hard this is to do when I live on campus, have no time, have no kitchen, and hate the cafeteria food! lol

3. Exercise at least 5 days a week- On account that I barely have time to sleep, the only exercise I've had is running around trying to get stuff done. ^^

4. Eat much healthier- Again, hasn't worked so well.

5. Lose the current added weight and get toned. ^^- Read number 3.

6. Drink 8 glasses of water a day- It is horrible that I am still not doing this!

7. Go to bed by 12am the latest on nights I have class- Oh how I wishhhh!!!! Like I said, on most nights I don't even sleep. I am definitely having a let me catch up on 4 months of sleep summer session.

8. Stay organized for my classes- It started off really well, now it's okay but not how it should be.

9. Study BEFORE the night before a test- I have improved a bit, but not where I would like to be.

10. Learn how to knit- Haven't yet but I have a friend who is willing to teach me, just have to find the time.

11. Study more Korean on my own- Urggg I need to get a move-on on this one!!!

12. Design my own bag- Not yet.

13. Go study abroad to Japan in the summer- YES!!! Glad to announce that this summer I WILL be going TO JAPAN!!!! I am beyond excited about my trip and the experience I will be having!! I will be close to 2 months over there! WOOO!

14. Get good grades- Eh, I don't think I will get horrible grades but deff not the ones I wanted.
15. Advance in my Japanese studies- I feel like I have even if in the slightest way.

16. Learn more origami other than just lilies. ^^- Still stuck on lilies.
17. Take martial art classes- When I have money!
18. Try at least 20 new foods I've never tasted and am afraid to- Glad to report that I have been trying a whole lot of new food! Everything from Korean, Japanese, Vietnamese food, drinks, paninis, so on! I even tried squid the other night, but lets just say that's a one time thing! ^^

19. Read my first Japanese Children's book- Haven't found one yet, am hoping to bring one or two back from Japan. :)

20. Go to new york!!- Still hoping to go towards the end of summer to visit my dear friend and enjoy the city!!

Well that is all on the updates. Now off to do 3 weeks worth of laundry, clean my room, and packing. Leaving to Arkansas for spring break! More about that later! ^^

Goodbye 2009...Hello 2010!

Seems so hard to believe that 2009 is finally coming to an end. The was so much that happened this year. Some was good, like starting college, new friends, traveling to Santo Domingo, learning Japanese and so on. Some was bad, like the death of two friends, and family drama. It was a very full year but overall it was an amazing one. I am sure 2010 will bring even more amazing adventures and experiences. :D

I have a couple of new year resolutions I hope to accomplish this new year. I will blog about my progress as the year goes on. ^^

This break needs to end!!!

This break is seriously draining me!!! I mean yeah I was glad to get a break from all the all-nighters, the studying, homework and so on but honestly all I needed was about 3-5 days. 3 weeks is way too long. I feel so lazy being at home. Sleep, eat, watch TV, and occasionally go out. In the University I am constantly moving and busy and rarely ever in my room. I miss that, and I miss all my friends! :( On Tuesday I'll be going to my best friend's house and spending about 3 days there. I am beyond ecstatic about that! Till then I'll be "relaxing" at home.

Starting over...once again!!!

Okay, so I started again to blog in the summer but...that lasted about two days before I forgot all about it! Not a big surprise there. Hopefully this time I will stick to it for a while longer. I just have to look at it as more of a hobby than a chore.

Well I finished my first semester in college about 2 weeks ago! It was awesome! Even with it's ups and downs. Here's a quick list of some of the good and the bad.

The good:

1. Made tons of awesome new awesome friends.
2. Took some very interesting classes.
3. Moved out on my own to the dorms.
4. Have awesome roomies!
5. Had awesome new experiences. (ex. Tried curried goat and made my own sushi!)

The bad:

1. The work load definitely increased.
2. Unlike high school, I actually HAD to study.
3. Sleep and eating schedule completely messed up.
4. Got tired quickly of the cafeteria food.
5. Can't see some old friends as often.

There is a whole lot more good stuff that came with starting college but I don't want to go into detail! haha I'm now on my break and am dying to go back to the University and start the spring semester! Will write some more later. Off to get some ice cream which I've been craving for the past few days!!!
